Visitor Information


TcSUH main administrative offices and laboratories are located in the University of Houston Science Center. Other laboratories are located in the Science Research I Building and the Cullen College of Engineering. While your TcSUH host can provide explicit directions to the location of your meeting, the following links are provided to assist you in your planning.



Parking Options for Visitors to UHSC and SR-1

 
TcSUH-North (University of Houston Science Center building- main administrative offices/labs)
  • Option 1: TcSUH Reserved Space behind UHSC (must be reserved by the host using the reservation calendar in UHSC-202)
  • Option 2: Lot 15 at the Alumni Center, located across the street from the Houston Science Center (host must contact the TcSUH Office of Public Affairs, x38213, to make arrangements with the attendant)
  • Option 3: Gated Lot 15-D is normally available for general use without a permit after the gate opens at about 5:00 pm. (NOTE: Towing is enforced 24/7 for Reserved and Handicap spaces, even when the gate is open. Visitors must park in unreserved, non-handicapped spaces.)

TcSUH-South (Science and Research Building 1)

  • Option 1: Parking meters along both sides of street at Entrance 14. Visitors must not park in the Loading Zone for more than 20 minutes, in a fire or other tow-away zone, or in any handicapped or reserved space.
  • Option 2: Gated Lot 15-D is normally available for general use without a permit after the gate opens at 5:00 pm. (NOTE: Towing is enforced 24/7 for Reserved and Handicap spaces, even when the gate is open. Visitors must park in unreserved, non-handicap spaces.)

Parking in any gated or ungated lot during normal business hours without a permit may result in a Parking Citation. Parking in a Reserved or Handicapped space without a permit may result in a Parking Citation and the vehicle may be towed at the owner’s expense. Parking in a Loading Zone for more that 20 minutes may result in a Parking Citation.

All Parking Citations and towing fees are the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle.
